Biography Eisenberg Gregory Z.
Gregory Z. Eisenberg (1904-1994 gg.) - A prominent scientist, laureate of Lenin Prize and two State Prizes, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR, doctor of technical sciences, professor.

After graduating in 1930. Odessa Polytechnic Institute, Mr.. Z. Eisenberg worked in the Research Institute of Radio (NIIR), Ministry of the USSR's first chief of the laboratory, and then more than 30 years chief of the antenna department. From 1958 to 1988. G. Z. Eisenberg headed the Department of Technical electrodynamics and antenna Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications.

G. Z. Eisenberg made an enormous contribution to the development of the theory and techniques of antenna devices. On the basis of his scientific ideas, under his leadership and with direct participation of developed and widely introduced to the original radio center of the RF antenna systems for virtually all frequency ranges:
. for medium and long waves - the antenna mast top food, . antenna extended range of wave, . antenna with an adjustable current distribution, . highly efficient antenna at low piers with large gain, . antennas with high directivity radiation, etc.;,
. for short waves - shunt vibrators, . widely used in the radio center of the country, . receptor complex single and traveling wave antennas of increased efficiency, . double rhombic antenna with a low level of side lobes, . in-phase wide-band transmitting antennas, etc.,
.

They developed and implemented highly effective HF antenna to the regulation of maximum radiation for broadcasting to remote area. These allow you to control the antenna radiation pattern within 40 б° in the horizontal plane, as well as in the vertical plane.

Great importance of Mr.. Z. Eisenberg on the antenna-feeder systems for a range of centimeter waves, for trunk radio relay and tropospheric communication lines, including passive transponders (with A. M. Models and. G. Yampolsky).

Gregory Z. trained more than 50 candidates and doctors of science, has published more than 60 publications, including seven monographs, translated into many languages.

G. Z. Eisenberg was engaged in a great public work: he was a member of the Section of Radio Engineering and Electronics of the Committee on Lenin and State Prizes in science and technology at the Council of Ministers of the USSR, . Chief of the Antennas and Propagation NTS USSR Ministry of Communications, . member of the Bureau of the Interagency Council on Antenna Technology, . member of the editorial board of the publishing house "Radio and Communication", . editorial board of "Radio Engineering", . collection of "antenna", . curator of antenna technology Great Soviet Encyclopedia.,

. For fruitful pedagogical and social activities G
. Z. Eisenberg was awarded two orders and eight medals.
