Biography RYBKIN Petro
Pyotr Rybkin (1864-1948 gg.) - One of the founders of Russian and Soviet Radio Engineering. He was born May 14, 1864, Mr.. in St. Petersburg in the family of the teacher. After graduating in 1892. Physics and Mathematics Faculty of St. Petersburg University, P. N. Rybkin was left with him to prepare for independent scientific work.
Spring 1894. He moved to Kronstadt, where he became a laboratory assistant and a. S. Popov, his closest collaborator.
P. N. Rybkin took an active part in making the world's first radio A. S. Popov, and almost all the work associated with the use of wireless telegraphy in the Navy.
But Rybkin was not only an assistant Popova. In May, 1899. He made an important discovery, to accelerate the use of wireless telegraphy, discovered the possibility of receiving radio listening. Prior to this reception of signals carried on the ticker-tape.
Since 1901, when A. S. Popov moved to the Institute of Electrical Engineering, P. N. Rybkin was to training marine Radio personnel. "Grandpa radio operators" - the name of his sailors of the Baltic - died on January 10, 1948, Mr.. in Kronstadt.
