George Stevens (Stevens) (18. 12. 1904 - 08. 03. 1975).
Born in a family of actors and has played in 5 years on stage. Enjoys photography, became a cinematographer, worked on a series of short comedies, including with the participation of Laurel and Hardy.
As the director directed his first feature film in 1933, and in 1935 succeeded the picture 'Alice Adams' (Alice Adams; nomination for the Oscar for best film), shooting for which he has chosen actress Katharine Hepburn. As George Cukor, he gained a reputation as 'women's director'.
