A-Teens

ABBA back. 27 years after winning the Eurovision Song Contest, ABBA reappears, but this time in the form of four young artists performing music of ABBA. Name the new group - A * Teens. The team consists of four teenagers from Stockholm, who perform contemporary versions of songs ABBA: Mary Sernold (vocals and dance), Sarah Lumholdt (vocals and dance), Danny Lennevald (vocals and dance) and Amit Paul (vocals, dance and keys).
. A * Teens have begun work on her debut album 'The ABBA Generation' in November 1998
. However, producers have been selected twelve songs that are included in the disc. The first single, 'Mamma Mia' was a great success, not least thanks to the stylish video clip. The video for 'Mamma Mia' was filmed in March outside of Stockholm. In the clip there are some parallels with the video ABBA, for example, the classical arrangement of participants back to back. Asked about the video, Sarah says: 'This exciting. We never filmed before in clips. We did not expect that I would have done so much work for a three-minute video. But we had a good time '. The song led the local charts, which was in first place for several months. Panel selected for promotion the song 'Mamma Mia' is not accidental: it is this single ABBA brought success in the European charts in 1975-1976, placing first. Debut album 'The ABBA Generation', was released in 1999, also won first place in the charts of Sweden, and soon became a triple platinum. In 2000 the band received, and in other European countries. In 2001 the band released the CD 'Teen Spirit', where A * Teens tried to refuse to perform and sing ABBA covers anything of their own.
