Marcos Frota was born on Spetember, 29 in São Paulo.

In Russia he is famous for different TV series of the TV company 'Globu', in which he's been acting since 1984, for example 'The Path in the Tropics'. His greatest fame came to him after his role of the sleepwalker Tonyo in TV story 'The Tropics's Girl Secret' (Mulheres de Areia) in 1994. He also acted in some art films.

Marcos owns a Brazilian circus and is a founder of the University of Circus and Circus Art in Brazil.

His first wife's name is Sibel Frota, she died in a car accident. He has the daughter Amaralina, sons Apoenya and Tainya. He was married for the second time to Carolina Dieckmann (they divorced in September of 2003), has son David from this marriage.
