Gogen Solntsev

Gogen Solntsev (real name Ilya Solntsev) was born on December 5, 1980 in the city of Moscow, Russia, in a family of the school teacher and worker of the Greek embassy. Parents have early divorced that's why he was brought up by his grandmother.
Gogen's debut performance took place in school chorus. After school he dreamed to enter some theatrical institute. However he could not afford it.

Gogen worked in a theatrical hobby group about five years. He gradually started to act in night clubs.

He took part in children's programs, held joint music events on concert platforms. Then he searched for his own place in life, again attempted to matriculate theatrical schools, worked as a perfume seller, sold theatrical tickets and worked as a loader. Fortunately he managed to enter theatrical faculty, choosing the specialty of director.

Relations with teachers and classmates were hard due to his excessive irascibility. So Gogen taking the academic holiday went to train in Academy of Strastberg to Los Angeles.
His first concerts weren't popular. Nevertheless he organized "Theatre of Horrors of Gogen Solntsev" main objective of which is bringing spectators to catharsis through shock therapy. Receiving no sponsorship, Gogen fell to drinking. When relations with alcohol became uncontrollable, the guy, under the pressure of close friends went to rehabilitation center.

On leaving the rehab he started to rehearse new show. He entirely changed the concept. He started to work intensively on TV and partially went with his program to provinces.
A bit later Gogen released first disk "Freakin Aroun Show". Gauguin starts to perform abroad and improved his show in Germany, Bulgaria, Italy where he was awarded Gran-pri of "Bravissimo" festival in San Marino.

Today Gogen is the most the known Freak in Russia and Gotha-icons. It goes on tour much, continues to perform on TV, writes a book. Gauguin lives till now in native Novogireevo. He often visits his summer residence, likes to look after his own garden and cook favorite food.
