In 1837 she graduated from Petersburg Theater School, and served until 1854 in the St. Petersburg Ballet Company. The largest representative of the Romantic ballet. In her work combined an effective dramatic ballets W. Didelot poetry and dance ballets F. Taglioni, expressive pantomime games and virtuosity of classical and character dance. The first Russian artist title role in Giselle (1842, baletm. A. Tityus), "Peri" (1844, choreographer Frederick), "Paquita" (1847, choreographer M. I. Petipa, Frederick), "Satanilla" (1848, choreographer M. A. and M. I. Petipa, for M. Mazilier). Staged M. Perrault created for
