Japan launched into space its own new optical reconnaissance satellite "Kohaku-5" (translated from Japanese "kogaku" means "optics") from the Tanegashima launch pad. The launch was done by a booster H2A at 10:21 local time.
The rocket launched a satellite into orbit and installed "fulfilled its mission," said the Japanese aerospace Agency JAXA.
