Japan successfully launched into orbit a new spy satellite "Kohaku-5". Information about the size of a space vehicle, its weight, orbit and other classified data.

Japan launched into space its own new optical reconnaissance satellite "Kohaku-5" (translated from Japanese "kogaku" means "optics") from the Tanegashima launch pad. The launch was done by a booster H2A at 10:21 local time.

The rocket launched a satellite into orbit and installed "fulfilled its mission," said the Japanese aerospace Agency JAXA. Just because the machine is endowed with spyware functions, information about the route of its movement, linear measurements and weight, as well as other relevant technical details were not disclosed.

New Japanese satellite "Kohaku-5 fitted with a Grand resolution and is capable of receiving the image of the object with a size of 40 cm Research satellite, the same as its predecessor "Kohaku-4", was arranged by the company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, reports RIA Novosti. The device is an advanced analogue placed in orbit in 2009, "Kohaku-3". Its lifespan is coming to an end in March 2015.

Less than a year, Japan has launched 5 satellites for different purposes. So, in early may of 2014 was put into the orbit apparatus "Daichi-2" ("Earth-2"), which should monitor the impact of natural disasters. In October 2014 - weather satellite "Himawari-8" ("Sunflower-8"), and in December - "Hayabusa-2" ("Falcon 2"). In early February 2015 to orbit the Earth came analogue already caught in the space radar satellites "Radar-3" and "Radar-4".

It is anticipated that over the next 3 years power start another 14 various spacecraft. The creation and study alone spy satellites power consumed per year to 60 billion yen (approximately $ 500 million).

Now in orbit are 4 active satellite, performing intelligence functions. Reconnaissance optical devices "Kohaku-3" and "KAGAKU-4" are shooting Lands, including military facilities, day, and radar satellites, Radar-3" and "Radar-4" conduct research at night or in cloudy conditions.
