Ukrainian satellite "Lybid" remained in custody in Russia


Manufactured in October of last year in Russia the Ukrainian communications Satellite "Lybid" left in custody at the Russian company ISS behalf Reshetnev, said Deputy General Director of ASC Yuri Vilkov.

Ukraine planned to launch a telecommunications Satellite " Lybid-1 in the 1st quarter of this year. The satellite was obliged to cover Ukraine with surrounding countries as well as North Africa and part of Asia. The total Cost of the project on creation of the Ukrainian communications satellite was $ 292 million. Remember, the launch of the first Ukrainian telecommunications satellite for technical reasons, was postponed several times already. Before its launch planned for 2012, then 2013, then - not before mid-2014.
