The Ministry of justice of Russia: Kiev not asked Moscow to give convicted persons from Crimea
The Ministry of justice did not negotiate on the transfer of convicts in Kiev Crimea Ukrainians in the absence of proposals from Ukraine, said Last news the Minister of justice Alexander Konovalov on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg international legal forum.
Konovalov said in penitentiary institutions of the Crimea at the time of reunification with Russia was detained citizens who refused to take Russian citizenship.
"The Ministry of justice of Russia did not conduct any negotiations with the Ukrainian side in the absence of proposals from the Ukrainian partners," said Konovalov.
He said that in Ukraine, as is known, was an Amnesty which allowed a number of prisoners to be released earlier time.
"These citizens have stated about wanting to return to Ukraine and These issues are due to traditional bilateral approaches to the transfer of sentenced persons. But I think that the vast majority is released as a serving of retribution - said Konovalov.
