Roscosmos returns American astronaut only for money
Russia fulfilled all obligations of free NASA astronaut delivery to MKS, therefore the further cooperation with USA will be on commercial base.
That was announced by the head of Roscosmos pilot programs Alexei Krasnov. "Formally we don?t have to return William Macarthur on Russian "Sous" and the conditions of his delivery from the station will be the topic of our discussion with colleagues from NASA", - Krasnov stated. By his words, representatives of American cosmos agency must arrive to Moscow October, 6.
Macarthur is a captain of 12-th expedition to MKS which started October 1 from Baikonur. American astronaut was sent on orbit with Russian Valery Tokarev and commerce tourist Gregory Olsen.
The duration of Macarthur and Tokarev mission is 182 days. NASA stated that shuttle flights to MKS will be revived on March next year, but those plans can be revised.
