Angelina Jolie and Brad pitt divorce
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from her husband Brad pitt, citing irreconcilable differences. According to court documents, the couple will divorce in two years and one month after they got married in August 2014. Jolie wants to take custody of their six children and asks the court to allow pitt to see them.
She also asked to keep "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal items" as well as any income after the date of their divorce and other individual assets, which will be determined later. "I am very saddened by this, but the most important thing at present is the welfare of our children," pitt said Tuesday in a statement to CNN. "I ask the press to give them the time and peace they deserve at this difficult time."
"This decision was taken for the health of the family," he said in his statement on Tuesday Robert, attorney Jolie. Jolie gave birth to twins Vivienne and Knox in July 2008. The couple announced their engagement in 2012. Pitt supported angelina Jolie at 2013, when she underwent a preventive double mastectomy.
In 2014, they got married, arranging a small private ceremony in the chapel of the castle of Miraval in the village of Correns.
