A sandstorm struck Northwest China
A sandstorm struck Northwest China. In slow motion, sand veil covered areas, neighborhoods. The sky mingled with the earth. In some places visibility dropped to 5 metres, somewhere close at hand for the shroud.
The air was painted a brick color. This happens only in the spring. Gale brings to the East and South of the sand from the Taklamakan desert. The roads were barely visible alarms. The movement ceased for a few hours.
"In the morning the storm was so strong that the sand I fall asleep eyes. I couldn't even clearly see the cars on the road," reports one eyewitness.
Started disruptions in the supply of electricity. The schools are closed. Authorities announced the penultimate level of danger. The sand layers covered fields with cotton and pepper. Sandy gusts of wind felled trees, and parked motorcycles. Damage even on the walls.
"I live in the County for more than 10 years. But that sand storm do not ever see. All cotton died," said the woman.
The air bit will be cleared only at the end of the week. This is not the first in the spring sandstorm in Sinitsina and obviously not the last. In recent years, they happen more often. Scientists believe that the cause of the warming waters in the Pacific ocean causing the climate unbalances.
