Macron explained his tense hands with trump
The President of France Emmanuel macron confirmed that the longest handshake, which he shared with U.S. President Donald trump in Brussels has a deep meaning.
"My handshake with him, it's not just," macron said in an interview with journal du Dimanche in an interview published on Sunday. "This is not the alpha and omega of politics, and the moment of truth." Two newly minted leaders met Thursday in Brussels and shook hands.
Reporter Philip Rucker of the Washington Post, which was in the room, described the handshake as follows: "They shook each other's hands for an extended period of time. Every President with great force squeezed the hand of College, their knuckles turned white and jaw clenched".
At least one and maybe two times during the handshake trump tries to pull away, and the macron doesn't let go.
