Blake Lively trains for 90 minutes at least four times a week
The actress found fame portraying Serena van der Woodsen in US teen drama Gossip Girl, and is currently shooting new movie Green Lantern. She has to complete stunts for the superhero movie, and so has been working hard to get in shape.
Blake has teamed up with trainer Bobby Strom, who has been putting her through her paces with a series of vigorous workouts.
"She always looks good," he said. "But she has to do stunts, so we`re focusing on core and strength training."
The 22-year-old focuses on circuit training when she is exercising. She always hits the gym for a minimum of 90 minutes, and completes a series of planks, push-ups and lunges. Bobby said the rigorous routine is working well, with Blake delighted to finally have visible abdominal muscles.
Although she is keen to keep in shape, Blake refuses to cut all unhealthy food from her diet. Instead, she eats small amounts of naughty treats, such as just a forkful of dessert.
On a typical day, the star will breakfast on oatmeal with fruit, have a chicken salad for lunch and fish and vegetables for dinner. She supplements her diet with home-made juices.
"You would not believe what she could consume," Bobby laughed. "The Greek feast that she made... crepes with cream cheese in them... we could only eat half of it. She ate all of hers and then went back and ate somebody else`s half."
