Tito Ortiz will not face criminal charges over domestic violence
The mixed martial arts fighter was arrested last month after police responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance at the Huntington Beach home Tito shares with the former adult film star. Tito was charged with felony domestic violence and spent several hours in jail before he posted bail and was released pending a court hearing.
Yesterday, the Orange County District Attorney`s office dismissed the charges against Tito because of a "lack of corroboration". A spokesperson for the authority said that the case had been dropped because Jenna had withdrawn her complaint.
Jenna initially planned to press charges, but withdrew her allegations against Tito days after the alleged abuse. She has repeatedly denied Tito is a "wife beater" and is glad the District Attorney has decided not to prosecute him.
"Jenna is very happy about that," Jenna`s lawyer Ronald Richards told RadarOnline. "She doesn`t want to see the father of her children suffer further stress."
Tito and Jenna have 14-month-old twins Jesse and Journey together. Jenna recently revealed she is trying to reconcile with Tito for the sake of the tots.
"Tito`s not a wife beater, but there may be an anger problem," she said. "If it were just me, I would have left, but I have children who need their father and he`s a fantastic father.
"The bottom line is we love each other. I`ve forgiven him, but he still needs to walk into this house on his hands and knees, asking for forgiveness.
"Then he needs anger management and we need counselling. I want things to be OK. This has to never happen again."
