Bolton estimated the probability of extension start-3

The contract on reduction of strategic offensive arms (start-3), which expires in 2021, is unlikely to be extended, as it has shortcomings, said Advisor to the President for state security John Bolton.

"Although no decision until not accepted, it is unlikely that It will be extended. Why prolong a flawed system just to say that you have a Contract?" Bolton said, speaking in the US capital.

He confirmed that North America are set to conclude a new Treaty in this area, which would include Russian Federation and China.

According to Bolton, the start-3 from the very beginning was flawed - It did not cover tactical nuclear weapons, short-range and fresh Russian delivery system.

Start-3, signed in 2010, is the only existing agreement between the Russian Federation and the USA on the limitation of armaments. The contract ends in February 2021, and as long as the us administration has not announced whether Washington to renew it.

Russia for its part announced many times that they are ready to discuss it. Donald trump said the desire to develop new trilateral nuclear Agreement between Russia, China and the United States. In Beijing, however, rejected this idea.
