Turkey intends to use the s-400, despite the threat of us sanctions


Turkey wants to apply newly acquired Russian air defense system s-400, despite the risk of punishment from the United States, said the head of the Secretariat of the military industry Ismail Demir.

"It is illogical to buy s-400 and not to use them. Russian personnel for their operation to not become involved, these systems are not dangerous for NATO ", - He said in the TV channel CNN Turk.

He added that Turkey is seeking to resolve differences with the United States, and therefore are ready to purchase American complexes п?atriot on favorable terms and apply them together with a Russian SAM.

Deliveries of the newest Russian air defense systems s-400, which caused a crisis in relations between Ankara and Washington, was initiated in mid-July. According to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the C-400 is fully put into effect in April next year. The United States demanded to cancel the contract and instead to buy the Patriot, threatening to delay or even cancel the sale of Turkey's newest F-35 fighter, as well as to impose penalties in Accordance with CAATSA (the law "On combating the enemies of America through punishment" ). Ankara did not want to make concessions.
