The Detroit News claims the supermodel had a tax lien - which is imposed to secure the payment of taxes, including unpaid income taxes - filed against her by America`s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on July 28 stating she hasn-t paid the sum of money relating to work she did in 2009.
The lien, which was filed at the New York Registrar`s office, gave Naomi`s address as the Carnegie Hall Tower skyscraper in New York City.
It has been a turbulent few weeks for the 40-year-old catwalk beauty. She had to appear in court in The Hague, Netherlands, on August 5 to give evidence at the war crimes trial of Liberian dictator Charles Taylor.
During the trial, Naomi was accused by her former agent Carol White of receiving -blood diamonds- - jewels mined in a war zone and sold to aid warlord activity or invading forces` campaigns - as a gift from Taylor after she met him at a party held at former South African President Nelson Mandela`s house in September 1997.
Actress Mia Farrow also gave evidence accusing Naomi of boasting to her that she had received a "huge diamond".
