RUSSELL BRAND and KATY PERRY spent their first married night under armed guard in a tent - after a man-eating TIGER crashed their wedding.
The feared beast, which has killed THREE locals in a year, scaled two walls and was just 50ft from the couple`s celebrations in an Indian wildlife park when horrified minders saw it. Four bodyguards used sticks to beat the giant male, named Maharaja - meaning "King" - until it retreated safely into the forest.
Officials at the Ranthambore National Park said the tiger was drawn by lights and music from the party and could have killed any of the 85 revellers, who included rapper P DIDDY and comedian DAVID BADDIEL.
Guests - who had just watched funnyman Russell, 35, and Katy, 26 today, being tied together with silk scarves as they circled a fire seven times in a traditional Hindu ceremony - were unaware of the danger.
But bodyguards set up watch teams outside the couple`s marital tent, where Russell earlier boasted he would be "taking Katy through the Kama Sutra".
One official said: "This particular tiger has killed before. It came into the compound at 11pm, with the party at its peak, and caused pandemonium among staff."
Russ and Katy`s passion was also disrupted yesterday as officials demanded they leave Rajasthan`s Aman-i-Khas resort by today to make way for the king of Bhutan.
Meanwhile singer Katy told pals she would "start trying for a baby" tonight - after a fortune-telling PARROT told the American star she will soon be pregnant.
