Christina Milian is going to stay single for a "long time"
The 29-year-old singer wants to live without a man for the foreseeable future after she reached an out-of-court settlement in her divorce from rapper The-Dream, real name Terius Nash.
The pop star - who has an eight-month-old daughter, Violet Madison Nash, with the hip-hop musician - told People: "I`m staying single for a long time. There is no man in my life and I`m staying single. No dating, no nothing. I love being single."
One of the reasons for Christina wanting to stay single is she wants to focus her energies on her daughter.
The `Am to PM` singer says Violet has given her life a purpose and "meaning" that wasn?t there before.
She added: "I jump from relationship to relationship usually and this is the first time I`m comfortable with myself. I will never bring anyone into my daughter`s life that I don`t have a real connection with. I`m going to protect her. I don`t just bring anyone into my life or her life.
"I feel life has a meaning. Everything I do is for her now. I dedicate my life to her. I spend every moment just thinking about whatever I pursue is going to be a part of her future."
It was revealed earlier this week that Christina and The-Dream - who married in Las Vegas in September 2009 - had reached a settlement in their divorce case without having to go to court to thrash out the details.
Christina`s attorney Randy Kessler said: "Ms. Milian strongly believes that peaceful resolution is better for their child and she is very pleased with the settlement and that it was accomplished out of court."
