Advocaat finds new blood for Russia
Russia`s football coach Dick Advocaat has called up two new players to take part in the Euro 2012 qualifier against Armenia and a friendly against Cameroon.
ґThe list of 20 to prepare for the crucial clashes was announced on My 20, with Rubin`s Aleksandr Ryazantsev and Aleksandr Sheshukov from Spartak getting invitations at the last minute.
Russia`s training camp opens up in Moscow on Monday as Advocaat`s charges face Armenia in St. Petersburg on June 7 and take on Cameroon three days later.
24-year-old attacking midfielder, Ryazantsev, has scored two goals for Rubin Kazan in 12 games this season.
28-year-old Shesukov has made 17 appetencies for Spartak Moscow in 2011, playing the position of defensive midfielder.
Neither of the players have ever been capped for Russia before.
Advocaat has always been criticized for relying on the same set of players as he said he hasn`t seen other footballers who would be able to strengthen the national team.
Russia, Slovakia and Ireland share the top spot with ten points after five games in Group B of the Euro 2012 qualifiers, with the Armenians, who have eight points, trailing right behind.
