Ashlee Simpson has split from boyfriend Vincent Piazza
The actress-and-singer and the `Boardwalk Empire` decided to end their 18-month relationship last week as their busy schedules were keeping them apart.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Vincent has been working a lot, so he hasn`t been able to spend as much time with Ashlee, which has caused some problems. It was a mutual agreement to split, but things have been bumpy for a little while, so perhaps they might reconcile."
Ashlee began dating Vincent last June after splitting from husband Pete Wentz, the father of her four-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli.
Vincent has previously spoken about their relationship and said how they enjoyed doing the simple things together.
He said: "I`m a real low profile guy. So a date night for me is kind of curled up at home and watching something . . . have a nice glass of wine, a nice meal and we`re all set."
Ashlee`s parents, Joe and Tina Simpson, recently announced they were splitting after 34 years together and she has been there to support both her mother and father.
