Computer games will help sportsmen to make better results


The results of research, made by the order of "Logitec" showed that enthusiasm for PC-games will help sportsmen to reach better results.

If games will be included in training process sportsmen can make better their reaction, will to victory and perception.

This research was made by psychologist David Lewis. He tried to determine a level of intelligence and staying power of professional sportsmen and common gamers. Lewis made his conclusions on the grounds of series of psychological tests.

Lovers of computer games are better than sportsmen who engage in football, tennis, ice hockey and volleyball in the reaction and will to victory.

"These results prove that PC-games improve some intellectual indices of sportsmen and can help them to obtain success on contests," Lewis considers. Forward of Russian combined football team Dmitrii Sychev ("Locomotiv"), Aleksandr Kerjakov ("Zenit") and Roman Pavluchenko ("Spartak") many times said that they liked computer games.

Not long ago Federal Agency of physical culture and sport added computer sport to the list of officially avowed sports. Cybersport is still amateur, but Federation of computer sport develops standards and documents which will make it professional. Experts think that the number of cybersportsmen now in Russia is about 40000.
