"Spitzer" photographed protostar in the Orion nebula (photo)
Astrology, working with the telescope "Spitzer", published a photo of the Orion nebula. The image and its description are available on the website NASA.
Photo consists of a composition of pictures made in different spectra of infrared radiation. In the picture perfectly noticeably bright cluster of stars known as the Trapezium. And still perfectly visible not only stars, but porosity, in other words, objects that have yet to be for lights.
The Orion nebula is located in the constellation of Orion at a distance of 1.3 thousand light years. Its diameter is some 10 s light years. The nebula was first thoroughly described in 1656 Christiaan Huygens. Before the actual moment it is considered one of the most famous objects for investigation astrologers - nebula can be seen already in a good pair of binoculars.
The telescope, the Spitzer was launched into space on 25 August 2003. 1st data from the machine began to arrive in the autumn of the same year. The apparatus was applied cool helium mirror. This allowed to reach the original resolution in the infrared range. In 2009 helium ended, but the telescope continued to work (but already with a sub-optimal performance).
