After the death of the Director of the painting was continued by his widow Svyatlana Karmalita and their son Alexey German Jr.
World premiere of the film occurred on 13 November 2013 in the framework of the Rome film festival. On the same day the management of the festival was posthumously awarded the German prize for his contribution to cinema.
