Putin and Koizumi to discuss peace treaty
Russian president Vladimir Putin and Japanese prime minister Junichiro Koizumi are going to recur to the problem of making a peace treaty during negotiations in Tokyo.
According to the assistant of the head of Russian state Sergey Prikhodko there "will be a discussion of subjects of peace treaty" at the meeting of two leaders in the Japanese capital. According to the Kremlin representative the elimination of all problems that impede development of relations is in the Russian and Japanese national interests. "The possible mutually acceptable decision of that serious problem which is a heritage of the past, is lying on the way of forward development of ties between two countries in all directions, comprehensive intensification of trust and mutual understanding between our nations", - said the Russian president?s assistant.
