Chernyshov left his post of coach of junior team
Senior coach of Russian junior national football team Andrei Chernyshov has sent in his resignation Monday, 21 November, press-cutting service of Russian Football Union (RFU) reported.
Russian Football Union and Chernyshov made a bargain of cessation of labor contract which was signed at 1 April 2004 and should act until 31 July 2006.
Russian junior team under the direction of Chernyshov could not reach the final phase of European championship 2006 in their age category. Russian football players lost to Portuguese national team (30 points) and divided points with Slovaks (in 19 points) in elimination tournament. They got second place not easily. But even strengthened with players of the first national team junior team could not show resistance to Danish team and yielded twice - 0:1 at home and 1:3 in out match, five Russian players were sent off the field during the second match.
Chernyshov would like to work on club level in future. "I would like to be a main coach in some club", - said Chernyshov.
