Political party "Rodina" not to be removed from elections
Political party "Rodina", more likely, will not be removed from participation in elections to Moscow city Duma even if its video "Let`s clean Moscow from garbage" will be adjudged as inflaming national antagonism.
This assumption was made by the head of Central Election Committee of Russian Federation Alexander Veshnyakov. By his words, "this is not a sufficient event for removing of party from elections".
Today Moscow Office of Public Prosecutor handed video to special institute for examination, where it will be estimated though video has appeals to international antagonism or not.
The day before Moscow city election committee recognized video "Let`s clean Moscow from garbage" as provoking of international conflicts. Meanwhile, this decision doesn`t have judicial power: committee can not prohibit demonstration of video on TV screen or remove party from elections` lists.
As a reminder elections to Moscow city Duma will take place on December 4, 2005.
