Moscow voters have to make their choice
Elections to Moscow city Duma and by-election to State Duma will be held by 201 University and 199 Preobrazhensky districts on Sunday, 4 December.
3234 election centers in the capital city are opened at 8:00 and work until 20:00, the press-cutting service of Moscow election committee informed RIA "Novosti".
Moscow residents will have to elect 35 deputies of City Legislative Assembly, 15 of them will be elected by single member constituency and 20 by the united election district, i.e. by parties? lists.
Nine political parties will take part in a struggle for 20 places by parties? lists: "United Russia", Communist Party, Russian party of Life, Liberal-Democratic party, "Free Russia", Party of social justice, "Green", "People?s will" and "Yabloko" together with Union of right forces.
The party "Rodina" was withdrawn by the Mosgorsud?s decision which was confirmed on Friday by Russian Supreme Court because some elements of inflaming of international dissention were found in its agitational video. The name of the party was struck off the voting papers.
According to information of the press-cutting service of Moscow election committee 330 candidates were registered totally. To pass the election the party must reach 10% barrier.
91 candidates pretend for other 15 places. According to the law those persons will be elected to be deputies by single member constituency who get the most of electors? voices.
The election will be considered conducted after 20% attendance of registered voters (6.88 m in Moscow).
There will be no line "Against all candidates" in voting papers in this election for the first time.
