Martina Hinges desires to play with Maria Sharapova
Recently Swiss tennis player Martina Hinges, who finished professional career in 2002, surprised everybody by announcement that she wants to return to big-time sports.
Hinges announced that wants to give a dare to best tennis sportswomen of the present.
"When you are the first racket of the world for 4 years, sooner or later you still want to compete with best rivals and win tournaments of Big Helmet", - said Hinges.
"When people ask with whom I want to play the most I answer: "With Maria Sharapova". First of all, she is the only tennis player from top ten with whom I didn`t compete. Secondly, she has won Wimbledon tournament and has already been the first racket of the world", - explained Hinges.
As a reminder, Hinges had friendly relationships with Russian Anna Kurnikova. Playing as a pair they have won 11 tournaments together.
Hinges says that "when I look at Lindsey Davenport, Amrly Moresmo, Kim Kleisters and Justin Anen-Arden, who are still at the top of rating, I understand that my chances to return to tennis are high".
During 1994-2002 Martina Hinges have won 40 titles, among which 5 are titles at Big Helmet tournaments.
