the head of the PACE Anne Brasseur made the proposal of the Russian delegation to participate in the June session of the Assembly, reports the news Agency journalist on 5 June. Had a telephone conversation with the speaker of the state Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, the Brasseur. In the conversation Naryshkin stated the Russian point of view on the recent events in Ukraine and tried to convince to use the potential of PACE for the soonest overcoming of this fall, the first step in what has become the termination of the Kiev authorities punitive operations against residents of the South-Eastern regions of Ukraine.
Brasseur filed a petition on the participation of parliamentary delegations of the Russian Federation in the June session of PACE, though with limited powers. Naryshkin has confirmed its position on the need for restoration of full powers of the Russian delegation in PACE should be a prerequisite for resumption of full-fledged work in the organization of the Russian Parliament. Naryshkin informed Brasseur, that wishes to participate in the activities of the OSCE PA on June 28 in Baku. For reviews of the head of the State Duma, on the current site could pass his meeting with the PACE President, and among them on the problems of possible creation of the inter-parliamentary contact group on the situation in Ukraine.
