1st Russian private satellite was put into orbit
1st private Russian Sputnik " Tabletsat Aurora ", running from a cluster of 33 small spacecraft on the carrier rocket " Satan ", put into orbit, said Last news authorized organization Sputnix.
Russian-Ukrainian conversion carrier rocket RS-20 " Dnepr " (SS-18 Satan in NATO classification) with 33 minisatellites production of 17 States of the world was launched in the night of Friday, starting with the base " Clear " in the South Urals.
" Among small satellites for foreign customers was put into the orbit 1st Russian private satellite remote sensing organization Sputnix, received the name " Tabletsat Aurora " - said the head of the Department.
according to him, in 2012, the Sputnix (a subsidiary of engineering-technological center " ScanEx " ) became the resident of " SKOLKOVO " and received the grant of 29, 5 million roubles (860 thousand dollars) for the development of subsystems for the new device form factor " Tabletsat ". During project implementation it became clear that the team is young innovative organizations can do more: just eight months she prepared to launch the microsatellite " Aurora " for Earth remote sensing.
The project " Aurora " started in October 2013. It is built on the basis of developments of the standard " Tabletsat ", performed within the project of SKOLKOVO and with its support. In the beginning of summer of 2014, the satellite was delivered to the Baikonur " Clear " to prepare for launch. High speed of project implementation was largely determined by the circumstances: in autumn 2013 Sputnix graduated from the agreement on conducting the launch vehicle with the international space company Kosmotras, which is engaged in such launches.
After reaching orbit " Aurora " will be held flight tests, developed will be tested in the organization sets of service systems, the Device must show their abilities in orientation and stabilization in the data transmission over the radio channel range VHF and X, experience optics, batteries and solar panels. The weight of the satellite was 26 kg, minimum design life - year. The unit is equipped with high-precision tri-axial system orientation and stabilization, as well as optical camera for taking pictures of the Earth from space.
The management unit will be carried out from the mission control center Sputnix in the Russian capital, with the involvement backup affiliate stations in Kaluga and Berlin. Data from the microsatellite is expected to take on a unique terrestrial network of receiving stations of ScanEx center, and then to apply in commercial, scientific, educational and environmental projects. Image from the moderate resolution demanded in the management of agriculture and forestry, and for environmental and natural resource monitoring.
