Command of Black Sea Fleet ordered to return Yalta lighthouse
Russian Navy commander-in-chief, admiral Vladimir Massorin gave instructions to commander-in-chief of Black Sea Fleet, admiral Alexander Tatarinov to return Yalta lighthouse under jurisdiction of hydrographic service of Black Sea Fleet.
"I instructed commander-in-chief of Black Sea Fleet to achieve returning of lighthouse, using civilized methods of negotiations, guiding by basic interstate agreement about Black Sea Fleet presence in Ukraine dated by 1997", - said Massorin.
Official representative of Navy Igor Dygalo informed that Yalta lighthouse still remains "in hands of Ukrainian authorities. General Headquarters of Navy regard the actions of Ukrainian authorities "as capture of object of Black Sea Fleet infrastructure".
He also informed that negotiations between representatives of Black Sea Fleet and administration of Yalta Port are planned on Saturday evening. "These negotiations can not start in the view of absence of Yalta port head on workplace", - said Dygalo.
Ukrainian Ministry of Defence announced that lighthose was captured not by officials of Ukrainian State hydrography but by members of "Student brotherhood" organization.
Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regards the situation as provocation and disinformation from Russian side. Representatives of Ministry announced that all navigational-hydrographic objects on seashore of Crimea are Ukrainian property.
Meanwhile hydrographic service of Black Sea Fleet considers illegal actions as rude, provoking and confirming intentions of Ukrainian authorities to ignore agreements about Black Sea Fleet.
