Valuev: "I faced with typical Russian boorishness aggravated with alcohol"
On January 19 at about 10:20 by Moscow time Russian heavyweight Nikolai Valuev beat 61-year security guard of sport complex "Spartak" Yuri Sergeev, protecting wife Galina.
Victim is in neurosurgical department of city hospital 3 now with diagnosis of "closed craniocerebral injury, thorax and cerebral contusion".
Valuev, who is in Germany at present moment, commented the situation the following way: "I came to defense of my wife for the first time (there were no grounds before). I will not discuss the details until return to St. Petersburg. The only thing I can say: I faced with typical Russian boorishness aggravated with alcohol in this case. Such people must be taught a lesson. I think I behaved as normal man in this situation".
It should be mentioned that aged security guard intends to bring an action against Valuev after medical treatment and certificate.
