3 days of mourning in Pakistan
According to official information, amount of victims during destructive earthquake equals to 19 thousands of people. Source from premier-minister administration informed that number of victims can rise to 50-55 thousands.
Meanwhile, in regions suffered from earthquake continue 24-hours rescue works.
Pakistan army is fully mobilized. Soldiers are transferred to Kashmir regions which suffered the most.
10 Pakistan military helicopters (mainly transport helicopters Mi-17 of Russian production) organized permanent air-lift for delivery of freights and evacuation of injured.
As official sources inform, more than 500 injured in heavy condition were hospitalized last night to hospitals in Ravalpindi, Islamabad and other large cities.
Pakistan authorities appealed to world society asking for help. Pakistan asks for financial support and helicopters.
Landslides, caused by earth tremors, destroyed a set of transport roads, which connect mountain region of country with centre, including famous Karakorum high way connecting Pakistan with China and Middle Asia. It is possible to get into some damaged villages only by air.
"The more helicopters is the better", - said premier-minister Shaukat Asis.
It is expected that American military-transport helicopters "Chinuk" will arrive today to Pakistan from neighboring Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, in mountain regions soldiers and volunteer groups of local people dig out obstructions and work on clearing of roads. International rescue teams joint Pakistan units.
The day before Russian rescuers arrived to Islamabad. They will work near Muzaffarabad town which is administrational capital Azad of Kashmir (part of Jammu and Kashmir states controlled by Pakistan). This town is called "the town of dead" in local press.
Last night in Pakistan, including Islamabad, a new set of light tremors was registered. Authorities warn that tremors, even strong ones, can continue during several days.
