Dagestan clergy appealed to parishioners to boycott European goods
Appeals to boycott of products from West European countries, where caricatures for Mohammed Prophet were published in mass media, were heard by about 6000 people during Friday prayer in central mosque of Makhachkala.
During afternoon Mohammedan prayer a prayer "Madina" about rescue from wars and cataclysms was read. It should be mentioned that this prayer is said only in exceptional cases when clergy considers real threat of war or serious conflict. After that mufti appealed not to buy products from Denmark, Norway, France and other countries, which published caricatures for Mohammed Prophet.
It was also said about the necessity to address to Embassies and Councils of named above countries with demands to present apologies and to punish authors of caricatures and their head, who allowed their publishing.
"They can not resist spread of Islam and find no other way than to offend us cowardly", - said vice-chairman of Religious department of Muslims in Dagestan Magomedvakil Sultanmagomedov.
After the prayer imam Magomedrasul Saasuev has announced that he is not appealing to force actions. "There are legal methods, we should act within the frames of law. We have lot`s of parishioners, who will sign an appeal".
