Ivanov: expectations of terrorist attacks are grounded
Vice-premier, Russian minister of defense Sergey Ivanov warns about the danger of terrorist surge growth.
"Expectations of terrorist actions` intensification have ground", - he said performing on 42-nd international conference of security in Munich.
By Ivanov`s words, a tense situation in Iraq, a restoration of terrorist potential of Afghan groups and continuous cruel terrorist attacks in different parts of the world support the assumption above.
"Tragic events in Beslan and Jakarta, Madrid and Moscow, Istanbul, New York, Washington and other towns of the planet testify that terrorists gave a dare to whole world community", - he said.
Ivanov has regretted that the threat is still real despite of active and more organized efforts of world community.
"The world can not become more predictable and safe if effective method of resistance to one of most dangerous threats, international terrorism, is not created", - said Ivanov.
He has emphasized that Russian government has a great confidence that such frontier can be effective only under the aegis of UNO.
"At present moment necessity of this organization is evident", - said vice-premier.
