Department of struggle with brigandage reconstructed in Moscow Criminal Investigation
The department of struggle with brigandage, which existed during post-war years, is reconstructed in Moscow Criminal Investigation.
Appropriate order was delivered by head of Moscow general administration of Interior Affairs Vladimir Pronin. The main purpose of the department is a disclosing of attacks at collectors, members of private security organizations and citizens carrying large sums of money, a revealing and liquidation of stable criminal groups responsible for these attacks.
More than 100 of such crimes were committed in Moscow last year. The source noted that increased number of attacks, large material damage and low crime detection served the ground for reconstruction of the department of struggle with brigandage.
Law machinery noted that brigands usually have accomplices in commercial organizations and banks or hunt down the victims near currency exchange offices and enterprises with large cash circulation. Facing resistance criminals use weapon in majority of cases.
Source in Moscow general administration of Interior Affairs has promised that most experienced detectives will work in the department. At present moment department is on the stage of forming.
