Putin: Russia to appropriate $43.5 millions for help to poor countries
Russia will appropriate $43,5 millions during 2006-2010 for IMF program of assistance rendering to poor countries subjected to external shock. This was announced by Vladimir Putin during meeting with ministers of finance from G8-countries.
Russian president said that free-will subscription in amount of 30 millions conditional drawing rights, which is an equivalent of $43.5 millions, will be sent for these purposes during 2006-2010.
During Saturday meeting in Moscow financial G8 appealed to countries-donors, including oil producers, for contribution to Antishock fund of International Monetary Fund.
This fund is created for assistance rendering in elaboration of economic politics and financing of needs of energy-poor countries.
