Russia informed Japan about possible consequences of Amur pollution
Russia has informed Japan about possible consequences of Amur pollution by benzene from China. This was reported by representative of Ministry of economic development and foreign affairs over Habarovsky krai Aleksey Kiryanov.
"Administration of Hokkaido prefecture requested to inform about content and concentration of poisoning substances, which present in Amur as a result of breakdown on Chinese chemical plant. Traces of benzene spot may reach Sakhalin, Kurile seashores as well as Japan and Korea in spring-summer period.
Representatives of prefecture took the notice into consideration but didn`t express the desire to participate in monitoring program over Amur, Okhotsk and Japan seas", - said Kiryanov.
