Rostov branch of the Russian red cross was able to collect 59 million rubles for the provision of humanitarian assistance to refugees from the East of Ukraine, told on the first day of the week at a press conference in the Last news the Director of the international Department of the Russian red cross Sergey Kobets.
The flow of immigrants from the South-East of Ukraine in the Russian Federation has greatly increased since June against the background of ongoing fighting between supporters of independence of Donbass and the Kyiv security forces. According to the Russian authorities, since the beginning of the conflict was forced to leave Ukraine and are located on the area of the Russian Federation more than 730 thousand people.
" The Rostov regional Department could collect more than 59 million rubles on the current account, " said Kobets. According to him, these funds are spent gradually and is designed for long-term assistance.
" Back in June, the Rostov branch of the PKK approved the long-term program of assistance to the population. In the framework of this program funds will be spent due to application of local authorities, because it's important to know the needs of these people. Rostov branch carries out regular monitoring of the needs of these people, " Kobets said.
Thus he has noticed that charitable funds must be spent carefully under the rules of the existing law.
