Bush to construct new atomic-power plants with Russian assistance
USA president George Bush is confident that cooperation with Russia, France and Japan will help to construct and build principally new atomic reactors and develop new methods of used fuel processing.
This was announced by USA president during traditional Saturday radio message to Americans. By words of the president, America should construct new atomic reactors in nearest decade.
Bush reminded that during last 30 years no reactors were built and part of nuclear energy comes to 20% of national electric energy production.
The president also emphasized that mutual work with "countries of developed nuclear civil programs, such as Russia, Japan and France, will allow reduction of nuclear wastes` volumes and liquidation of fuel processing by-products, which can be used by instable regimes and terrorists for construction of nuclear weapon".
