Criminal proceedings instituted against Berezovsky for overturn preparation in Russia
Russian General Office of Prosecutor instituted criminal proceedings against businessman Boris Berezovsky and demanded his extradition from Great Britain.
He is accused of actions aimed at force overturn in Russia in defiance of Russian Constitution. "The case is passed to Russian Federal Security Service", - noted representative of General Office of Prosecutor. By his words, documents for extradition of Berezovsky were sent to Ministry of Interior Affairs of Great Britain.
Several days ago the head of British Foreign Office Jack Straw threatened Berezovsky with deprivation of refugee status in the view of Berezovsky`s intention "to realize overturn in Russia by force".
By words of Berezovsky, he plans to change "anticonstitutional regime" in Russia by force. "Current regime in Russia lost legitimacy in all senses. Putin and parliament are illegal. They are unconstitutional because ratified series of principle anticonstitutional decisions. The brightest example is change of elected governors by appointed. This contradicts not only to Constitution but to the law", - announced Berezovsky.
Jack Straw promised to take appropriate measures against persons, who use territory of Great Britain as a base for fomentation of disorders and terrorism in other countries".
From his turn, Boris Berezovsky doubted that British authorities will review his status of political refugee. He noted that his statements don`t contradict to British laws. Berezovsky prepares letter to British Foreign Office, in which he will set forth the position on possible review of his status.
