Lukashenko made the initiative process for RF products from other countries
Olesya Luchnikov. Head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that this country may increase, in agreement with the Russian Federation, the food production for the Russian market at the expense of processing products from other countries.
The EU and the US on 1 August introduced a new package of economic sanctions against Russia in connection with the situation around Ukraine. In response Russia for a year banned the import of some food items from the US, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway. In the list of restrictions were beef, pork, poultry, fruits, vegetables, cheeses and dairy products, nuts, and other products.
