Kudrin predicted reduction of Russia's GDP by 5% in case of strengthening penalties
Off Russia from the international payment system SWIFT will lead to the reduction of Russia's GDP by 5% during the year, and the Iranian scenario punishment will reduce the Russian economy even stronger, says former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin. Kudrin expressed doubt that such a scenario will be implemented. In late summer, the UK authorities have turned to other EU member States with the initiative to disable the Russian Federation from SWIFT intensification of punishment because of the events in Ukraine, but this proposal until was not supported.
