The Ukrainian authorities intend to impose charges on the insulation of residential houses in the country, which need more than 80% of all houses of Ukraine, by the residents themselves, said an employee of the National ecological centre of Ukraine Irina Savchuk.
" 80% of apartment buildings in Ukraine require modernization, rehabilitation and winterization. Housing consumes about one-third of the country's energy resources, the energy use in houses where people live 150-250 kW/h per square meter, and at the same time modern European standards for new buildings - 30-40 kW/h per square meter. Because of this, the house of Ukraine will require the implementation of effective energy efficiency, " he said, Staschuk TASS. The authors of the concept offered the residents of the houses to Finance insulation at its own expense, with partial compensation of up to 30-50 % of the cost.
