Dmitry NALBANDYAN

1906, Tbilisi - 1993, Moscow. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (Tbilisi) (1924-29). 1931-34 - worked as an artist-animator, from 1935 - member of art exhibitions. Member of the Artists. People's artist of USSR, member of the USSR Academy of Arts. He worked in the genre scene paintings, portraits, still lifes, landscapes, his paintings are full scale reliability and detailed character design. Participated in many exhibitions at home and abroad, among them personal - in Moscow, Leningrad, Yerevan, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan. Winner of State Prizes of the USSR. Artworks Nalbandian are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; SRM, St. Petersburg State Picture Gallery of Armenia, the State Museum of Fine Arts, Estonia and many other museums.
