Shainskij Vladimir Yakovlevich

Born December 12, 1925 in Kiev. Since 1936, he worked as violinist in the musical ten-year school at the Kiev Conservatory, but the studies interrupted by the war. After the evacuation Shainskij went on to study in Tashkent, and in 1943 he was drafted into the army. After the Great Patriotic War, he joined the faculty of the Moscow Conservatory orchestra (soloist, violinist), from which he graduated in 1949.
