Swiss chemist Vladimir Prelog was born in the family of Mary (Setollo) and Milan Prelog Prelog, in the Serbian city of Sarajevo (now part of Yugoslavia), where in 1914. killed the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife.
